
Jarrod D. Prater is a resident of Dade City, Florida and has been a lifelong resident of Pasco County, Florida. Mr. Prater is a graduate from the University of Florida graduating with a B.A. in History in 2010 with honors. While at the University of Florida, Mr. Prater also had the privilege to participate in the Pride of the Sunshine Marching Band from 2007 to 2010 and is a die-hard Gator Fan and proud alum. After graduating from the University of Florida, Mr. Prater attended the Western Michigan University Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Riverview, Florida earning his Juris Doctorate with Magna Cum Laude honors in 2017.
Mr. Prater was admitted to the Florida in 2018 and has experience in litigating in both county and circuit court within the Fifth Circuit and Sixth Circuits. His experience in litigation includes business formations, landlord-tenant law, foreclosures, real estate litigation, contract law, estate planning, probate law, bankruptcy, and debt collection and settlement.
Mr. Prater joined the Hogan Law Firm in March, 2023 and has expanded his areas of litigation to include local government work and code enforcement litigation. Mr. Prater has assisted Ms. Rey with representation of local business entities in front of local governments including Pasco Hernando Workforce Board, Inc. gaining experience in WIOA, the Welfare Transition Program (WTP), and the Wagner-Peyser Act (WP).
